Where
We Work

Rank invests in places with potential. We find local leaders and work with them to build on each community’s distinctive strengths.

We first invested in the East Lancashire Mill town Burnley in 2001. Working alongside the police, we funded a cluster of community initiatives, and it showed us the potential of concentrating time, knowledge and funding in a place.

Burnley gave us the confidence to approach leaders in small cities to explore where we could add value to collective aspirations and ambitions for the future. Since then we invested in Hull and Dundee.

Today, we're invested in  Plymouth and Sunderland.

Through our place-based programmes, we bring people together to learn from those within a community who experience and understand the local challenges. We are committed to working with the people who know best how to improve life in their community.
