About Us
The Rank Foundation works in communities across the UK to encourage leaders, develop entrepreneurial mindsets and form strong networks that improve life.
History
Founded in 1953 by the flour miller and film maker Arthur Rank, the Foundation is built on his enterprising spirit, commitment to community and Christian faith.
During his lifetime, Arthur, later known as Lord Rank, spotted opportunities to innovate and grow a multi-million-pound empire. He remained committed to helping and encouraging others, describing young people as “the seed corn of the future and the leaders of tomorrow".
Since our founder’s death, we have donated more than £250 million pounds to communities across the UK.
